What about these "foreclosure assistance" sites that offer a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE?
Read the "guarantee" carefully. Every one we've read states "your deposit will be refunded except for a $xxx processing fee which cannot be refunded."
That exception is anywhere from $100 to $300. In other words, they are going to charge you $100 to $300 even if they do nothing.
IF Solutions announced today a "Worst Horror Stories" contest for victims of foreclosure rescue scams. A $200 prize is awarded each week for the worst story.

Not much.
I filled out the form and nothing happened. I assume someone will attempt to contact me.
The fact that there is nothing to the site except a form to leave an email address and phone number is a red flag.
There is no information about who they are, where they are or what they do.
I'd be extremely careful.
I live in the state of Minnesota, my lender is Countrywide, i am curently 3 months in the arrears. How long can i stay @ my home during the process?
